π§ Crispy Tofu with Creamy Liver Sauce
A quick and flavorful snack or side dish with a rich, savory twist!
π Ingredients:
- Tofu
- All-purpose flour
- Salt & black pepper
- Beaten eggs
- Breadcrumbs
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp liver spread
- 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp liquid seasoning
- Juice of 4 calamansi
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Spring onion (for garnish)
π³ Instructions:
Step 1: Slice the Tofu
Cut the tofu into small square pieces.
Step 2: Coat with Flour Mixture
In a bowl, mix flour with salt and pepper. Coat each tofu piece evenly in the flour mixture.
Step 3: Dip in Eggs & Breadcrumbs
Next, dip the floured tofu pieces into the beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
Step 4: Fry the Tofu
Fry the tofu in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Remove and let it drain on a paper towel.
Step 5: Make the Sauce
In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, liver spread, oyster sauce, liquid seasoning, calamansi juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Step 6: Add Sauce on Tofu
Place the fried tofu on a plate and spoon the sauce over the top.
Step 7: Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle chopped spring onions on top. Serve hot and enjoy!
